ABS TRUGEL 100
Description:
ABS TRUGEL 100 is a civil engineering grade sodium bentonite mined and processed near Miles in Queensland, Australia. It contains a high proportion of the active mineral species montmorillonite, which has a unique structure and chemistry. ABS TRUGEL 100 is selectively mined and processed with strict controls to maintain consistent high quality characteristics. Terrequip is a manufacturer of high quality bentonite materials and ABS Trugel 100 is processed to meet or exceed the requirements of Bentonite for drilling and civil applications.
Applications:
- ABS TRUGEL 100 is typically used in drilling fluids, grout systems for tunneling applications, cut off wall applications, low permeability slurry mixes, ground stabilization, soil permeability reduction, dam sealing and waste containment.
Benefits:
- ABS TRUGEL 100 has high viscosity and swelling characteristics, which make it ideal for a variety of civil engineering applications.
- It is able to form a gel-like consistency when mixed with water, which can help to stabilize soil and prevent the flow of water.
- It can also be used to create a low-permeability barrier, which can be used to prevent the migration of contaminants.
- ABS TRUGEL 100 is a natural product that is environmentally friendly.
Typical Properties:
- Montmorillonite content: 90%
- Loss on ignition: 5%
- Bulk density: 1.2 t/m³
- pH: 7.8
- Water absorption: 300%
